Hi,
I’m so amazed and impressed with this campaign and its artwork, that I ‘m planning to share it with my French players, and therefore kindly ask you if it would be possible to share the files in order to translate them ?
Thanks in advance for your response, keep up with your work.
Hardly waiting for third chapter…
Would it be possible to upload the adventures in psd ?, I want to translate them into Spanish (a friend knows English, I do not). But I’m a graphic designer and I could lay out the adventure to send to a professional printing company
If you use Affinity Designer, it sometimes opens PDFs as layers, so you can actually edit them! Also, Affinity is great at converting PSD files in general and is not yet as evil corporation as Adobe 🙂
Good campaign overall. I’d say I struggled a bit to finish it and that’s a good thing. Altough after strolling through it for so long I kind of got sick of the fire 🙂 That’s also a good thing I guess. Second scenarios is really marvelous IMO.
I’ve gotten a lot of requests for the original SE files for Scenarios 1 and 2 to allow for easy translation. However, I regret to say that those files are no longer available to me. I created Frozen Tracks and Stranded in the Urals on a small, old laptop, that has since run into multiple problems. I have since been unable to recover the original SE files from that laptop. However, I will be providing the SE files for all future scenarios in with the download, starting with this one. I apologize for this inconvenience, but short of remaking scenarios… Read more »
This looks like an awesome scenario.
What is the best way to print this? It seems that the front and back of the cards are next to each other instead of on a separate sheet that would allow for double-sided printing.
They’re arranged in such a way to be printed, cut, and folded along the long edges.
What are the Dark Cult encounter cards for Frozen Tracks? Encounter set symbols would be helpful for organizing Encounter Decks.
So far the cards look very good and we can’t wait to try out the first scenario.
Dark Cult is an encounter set included in the core set of Arkham Horror. Yeah, I produced scenarios 1 and 2 before I learned how to integrate set images into the setup cards. Apologies! That is fixed by scenario 3.
In Stranded in the Urals, what is Pursuit? I can’t seem to find this encounter card.
Pursuit is the encounter set with the three angled claws as a set symbol. There should be seven cards in that set, I believe.
What Expansion or game box was Pursuit in? I don’t seem to find the symbol for some reason.
It’s part of the Stranded in the Urals download. Includes Mysterious Predator, Signs of the Beast, and other related cards.
Could you include a list of what the new icon names are. I don’t know how people are putting their Encounter Decks together without knowing what set the icons represent.
Yeah, I’ll update the scenario 3 file with a reference card. That should make everything easier. Sorry about the confusion.
I have updated scenario 3 so it has the reference card in the download
Thanks!
Thank you so much for this great campaign! I very much appreciate that you provided the images with bleed, which saved me tons of hours to make the decks ready for printing 🙂
Alas, the lower resolution used for scenario 3 seems not appropriate for printing – any chance you could provide the images with bleed in the same resolution you used before?
I realized this as well. I’ll see if I can get high res images up within the week. Thanks for the reminder!
Any updates on that high resolution version? I was hoping to print this online. Thanks!
It’s a little bittersweet that I have to make this announcement: Due to an influx of commissioned game design work, I won’t be able to devote time to the Winter Winds campaign in the near future. I’ve handed development of scenario 4 off to a friend of mine and skilled designer who has been helping me with the campaign, but he is not beholden to finish the scenario or release it any time soon. I merely said, since he was helping me anyways, “if you want to do work on it, great. I can help discuss details, but I won’t… Read more »
Real life always comes first 🙂 cant wait to play it when its finished though
Thanks for letting us know! It’s a pitty as a player, but congrats!
Where can we follow up for the Scenario 4?
Just started with a friend on the campaign and must say, very very well done. I really enjoyed the first scenario and looking forward to continue playing it.
Please please finish the campaigne!
Hello. Great campaign, I have played only the fist part, yet. Will there be more chapters coming or is it finished?
Great campaign. How many chapters are outlined after 3?
Thank you.
So I’m super excited to finally announce that one of the reasons (and largely the biggest reason) that I had to step away from Winter Winds was because I was designing an official scenario for FFG. Matt Newman and I did an announcement video for it, which I’m sure you’ve already seen, but if not here’s the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4v5rRKieZhc And the good news is that now that this is finally done and out there, I can resume work on Winter Winds! I’m expecting to start devoting more time to scenario 4 – The Bones of the Urals – after GenCon.… Read more »
Congrats dude!! I’m really excited to play both! Any chance they might pick up this scenario to officially publish it? This one is really awesome.
When Matt reached out to me about designing a scenario, he had said “If I had it my way we would just make Winter Winds official…” so no, I don’t expect that to actually happen. But thanks! I’m glad you enjoy it so much!
So I take it that he looks over these from time to time? Did he just randomly reach out to you or did you guys have some sort of relationship beforehand?
I knew Matt personally from back when he worked on Lord of the Rings, though I wouldn’t say that we became friends until after Arkham launched. I know he does look at fan-made content, though. So, I guess it’s a mix of both?
Is there a single file for Scenario 3 like there is with Scenarios 1 & 2? It would just make it a lot easier to download and print out rather than have to open up every single file. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this fantastic campaign. In my AHLCG game group we’re really enjoying the Scenarios you have created.
At the moment, I have already translated into Spanish Scenarios 1 and 2 and I’m currently translating Scenario 3.
Is there any news on Scenario 4?
Hi Author, I noticed the three so-far released scenarios of this campaign are on printerstudio.com available to order. I wondered if there’s an easy way to add these to printerstudio.co.uk. I emailed their helpdesk and it’s not possible to order user-made content to be printed across their sister sites, and it’s prohibitive to ship and import from the US to UK/Euro. 🙂 Please don’t worry if it’s too difficult to do, thank you for the consideration.
Maybe you can help me navigate the printerstudio.com website from the U.S. ? If the three released scenarios are available on the website, they sure are well hidden.
Is there a pdf or Part 3 with all the cards? I only see the pieces.
Hello Nicholas, thank you so much for the share of your work. Just finished the first scenario with my friend and really enjoyed it. What an astonishing surprise to discover that you also worked on the Excelsior Hotel, the number one official Standalone according to the majority of the AH commmunity. Congrats for this deserved recognition. Just a little doubt occured during the first scenario , in the Passenger Car’s location “You may play it immediately, reducing its resource cost by ?” . The number is missing. According to our experience of the game, we assumed it was by 1… Read more »
This should reduce the cost of the ally by 1.
Thanks for your kind words! I’m glad you’re enjoying my scenarios, both official and otherwise.
Hello! Is there a PDF file for The Forgotten Village that compiles everything for easy printing! I would have no clue how to compile everything into a file like you have done for S1 and S2!
You could create a word/ open office file copy all images in there and print. Or open all SE files in strange eons, create a new deck, add them and print them.
Are you able to make this as single pngs with bleed so they can be printed on a site like printerstudio.com?
Can I translate your campaign into korean and distribute on website? I want your campaign more to be played by arkham lcg fan in korea.
Hi, so after cutting and sleeving yesterday we dived in the snow today and were quite amazed by the fitting art and the flow of the first scenario. We had just finished the Excelsior Hotel, so we knew – or at least hoped – that we would have fun and find a thematic scenario. And we were right. What we both liked, in MatEH and the Frozen Tracks ,was the thematic, but quite grounded style of the scenario. It doesn’t always need a bBakhee or a portal into another dimension to get the Arkham feeling. It’s quite obvious to compare… Read more »
So we went on, deeper into the snow – but had significantly less fun. Which is fitting, I guess, when two Rogues (Sefina and Finn) try to take on the siberian wilderness. I’m not sure if there is a spoiler-warning required – but some spoilers ahead. So I still think this is incredibly thematic, but I fear it may have been build with a classic combination of seeker-guardian in mind. While Finn managed his book-tests reasonably well, Sefina struggled. Some clues, but no chance when it came to true intelligence- and strength-tests (Blizzard!). So we ended up with a failure… Read more »
How many cards are in this story together? I counted 151 after print, is it correct?
So, still no news at all about part 4?
The news is that Nick Kory now works on the Arkham team at FFG, so while this sadly means that this campaign will presumably never be finished, the good news is that we will get Nick’s talents on the official content coming out in the future.
Damn I am so sick of seeing unfinished campaigns, this is jsut one of many. What’s the point? It’s just a waste of time and money.
Just for the creator’s information: Some spanish group is literally making money of a translation of this campaign. They put the downloads on their patron section, and are making group printings which are available for patrons only. They released “stranded in the urals” in the mentioned methods, so if you want to get their translation you have to literally pay them.

Any update on the last half of the campaign?
The designer now officially works for FFG. This campaign is very unlikely to be finished.
