Setup info:
First, it is solo only. Second, you are instructed to play it with a specific investigator. Third, that investigator is a custom-made Lita Chantler.
The scenario attempts to explore the circumstances leading up to that fateful night in the Study at the beginning of Night of the Zealot. How did the zealot get into your house? What the foon was that barrier all about?
Just played through it! PROS: Playing as Lita Chantler is a very cool idea. The story is well written and brings life to a (previously non-playable) character that we all had become enamored with in the core box scenarios. The scenario makes great use of cards from the core set scenarios and the text and abilities of the cards blend nicely with the style of the core experience. Having just played through this scenario and coming back to read your review I agree wholeheartedly. It was a lot of fun to take Lita through this and give a prologue to the Night of the Zealot, but man that last act drags on.
Are you able to make this as single pngs with bleed so they can be printed on a site like printerstudio.com?

green chaos token “-4. (reaction) After you reveal this token take 1 damage and treat the chaos token as -2 for this skill test”….errrrr.. So is it -4 or is it -2?? If I’m to treat it as -2, why does it start with saying -4?? Why/how there are two numbers here couldn’t be less clear.

Really liked this one and how it ties into the official story line. I did find the ending a bit confusing and only explored the attic when I couldn’t figure out what else to do. While I don’t mind that on the one hand, it was a little frustrating as I re-read through every card to make sure I hadn’t missed something. I found the life threshhold unneccesary on the ‘pendent beast’ (and therefore ‘consume egress’). The game was challenging enough with the number of monsters and holding off the doom accumulation on the last agenda so I used both… Read more »
