Author/Creator : Seth Oakman all credits goes to him. Note: Jenny Barnes is needed to play this scenario.

“You had thought the cult of the Green Man had been removed–expunged from the world–nature returned to its proper course. But it appears that the Green Man’s worshipers are more resilient. Like the Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young, the Green Man’s cult remains a fertile breeding ground for horror. You had hoped, after your previous encounter, that Izzie had gotten away. You were wrong, but they have isolated themselves, and your search is nearing its end.”

My verdict:

Background story:4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)
Visual experience:4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)
Overall experience:4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)
Average:4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)

Good scenario! I think it needed a few more baddies, especially at 3 and 4 players.

Thank you! Possibly true. I was on the fence as I also did not want to bloat the encounter deck due to Discordant Piping, which has a few different interactions throughout the scenario. Glad you enjoyed it!

Yeah, I’m not sure what to think about Discordant Piping other than… it didn’t feel dangeous enough, especially when the encounter deck has “gentle” treacheries like Bad Luck.

I thought Half-Cocked, though, was a brilliant idea for a treachery. I love the choice it gives you. But again, it’s a “gentle” effect that doesn’t harm the investigators directly, which we thought the encounter deck needed a bit more of.

Makes sense. I was trying to build a scenario where it felt as if your decisions and their impact on Izzie was the source of the tension moreso than the worry for your own health/sanity, but I think the pressure is maybe overly mild outside of Half-Cocked and the multitude of Dark Cult cards that can throw a wrench into the works if you are not careful. Discordant Piping is only really a source of tension on higher difficulties in campaign mode or if you are trying to get the VP from the Organ Room, or in some edge cases… Read more »

It needs cards from other decks, a die with dots on each side, and a triangle with a dot in each corner. I don’t have those, hence I cannot use the story. Where can I get these>?

Sorry! I’ve been away for a few weeks and I don’t have my cards in front of me. The encounter sets all come from the Core and the Deluxe Box for Dunwich Legacy. Basically if you have access to Jenny as an investigator, you should have the encounters. I think one set is from The House Always Wins and the other is Agents of Shub-Niggurath from the core.

Hello! I’m not sure what your question is. What has changed since when?

Story “you had hoped after your previous encounter that [spoiler]” -> This implies that the story is to be played after something else, but what that something else is, is missing.

Please add instruction text as [play first scenario x] or similar.

There is no first scenario. The story is flavor text that references the experiences Jenny has in the novella published by Fantasy Flight Games titled Hour of the Huntress. It is not necessary reading, but it will add further context.

Thanks for this Matt! You absolutely made my week. Such fun watching this. Maybe I should ramp the difficulty up a bit, eh?
