Enter at your own risk — and may your mind survive the visit.

Sanitarium is a fanmade standalone scenario for Arkham Horror: The Card Game, where you’ll investigate the strange disappearance of a patient in a mental institution where nothing is what it seems… and every decision matters.

Inspired by the atmosphere of a role-playing game, this scenario is designed to immerse you in a psychological mystery where your choices shape the story.
Will you cling to your sanity and follow logic — or embrace madness to unveil a darker truth lurking beyond human understanding?

As much as I wanted to enjoy this scenario, focusing on madness, I am quite disappointed. Hopefully my criticisms will be useful. Played solo standard on TTS, English version.

Pros: • madness / therapy / asylum theme • lots of content

Cons: • unbalanced e.g. but not the only issue: ended up managing 7 ennemies solo... • lack of original mechanics fitting the theme. I can't even say there's a treachery that struck me as "wow, this embodies madness". • replayability - despite having different paths, they mostly lead to very similar conclusions. • I don't want to spoil but the conclusion is expected and, although that's not an issue per se, I would loved it to habe an additional layer.

I spotted a couple of typos. I'm happy to help with whatever I can find. I probably missed it but how the hell do we move to the Old Tower through a connection? Maybe that’s one path i didn’t see so that would be nice.

So all in all, I would have not been so harsh if either the narrative or the mechanics would have worked on me. That's not the case and again, I'm very sorry about it because I wish I would have enjoyed it more.
